No. To get a new email address you will need to create a new account. If for some reason you are are getting email you feel is threatening to you or your family, contact TechHelp about changing your email address. We will assess the information and act accordingly.
Receiving Junk or SPAM email is not a valid reason for email address change.
Can I access my email when at work or away from home?
You can access your email from our "Email web access" page. This is a web page interface, it will operate differently from your email program. You will need your email address, email username and password to access your account. You may access this page from any computer connected to the internet.
When I try to get my email, it continuously asks for my password. I have been able to get my email with no problems until now. What do I do?
This is usually a "POP Lock". This condition is almost always caused by a corrupt email or a very large file.
There is nothing a user can do to remedy this issue. You will need to contact customer support via Contact Us or by telephone. Make sure you have your account information handy, especially your account number or username.
Mail Box or (POP Boxes) are limited to three megabytes. Starting in November 2004 all mail that is more than six months old will be automatically deleted from the mail-box.
Do I need to be connected to read and write email?
No, you can write a message offline, connect, then send the message. This will free up your phone line while you write your messages.
To write mail off-line, in Outlook Express start the program, and choose the "Work Offline" option in the drop down "file" menu. When you want to send the message, click on the "send" button. You will be asked if you want to connect.
Will I be able to use Email programs such as Outlook Express?
Yes, you will still be able to use Outlook Express and other email programs with our service. To configure your email program, follow the instructions listed on our Email Connections Page.
Will I still be able to use my other email accounts from other email providers (like Yahoo, etc)?
Yes. However, there are some things you should know. Many ISP's including ccwebs.com block port 25 to guard against SPAMers. This option is fast become the standard across the country.
To be able to to use your email accounts from other providers (ISP's), you will need to set the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) to: smtp.safepages.com. Your incoming email for these other accounts will remain the same. This procedure will usually work but not always depending on your other suppliers settings.
Please note: Do not try to use this option to SPAM. SPAM is the sending of unsolicited (usually in bulk) email over the internet. Our system logs each user and records the user's address. If you attempt to SPAM the system will delete the account and we will file a report with the Federal Government's Internet Fraud Bureau.
SPAMing is a crime.
What is the maximum size attachment I can send or receive?
Currently there is a 2MB maximum limit on the size of an attachment you can send. The incoming (receiving) size of a file depends on the amount of space in your mailbox at the time it is being accepted.
